I've turned into a workaholic over the past few days. I'm reading voraciously and getting really, really ahead on things so I can focus entirely on my thesis. I like that I'm finally becoming competent, but I know I'm going to manage to run myself into the ground, and that's not good. I need to figure out how to balance it out.

Good news:

• Stanford beat Cal last night 3-2. Kenny went 2-4 with his first home run of the season, and Jordan looked wonderful in his pre-determined four innnings.
• BRETT MOONEYHAM IS MAJORING IN HISTORY. OH YES. FINALLY.

Bad news:

• Mooney is out for the season with a finger injury. He cut his left middle finger and had surgery on it last week. ( Read more... )

I've been having some frustration lately with my senior seminar - namely the hook for my thesis. I'm not sure where I want to take the information I have and it's been driving me crazy, since everyone else seems to be doing just fine with it and I'm stuck. It makes me feel like a bad historian, honestly.

• Today is soprano_no_eiji's birthday! We're going out to Benihana tonight to celebrate.
• ARIZONA FALL LEAGUE ROSTERS. The Mets have included Josh Stinson. I am exceedingly pleased. For those who don't know this, the AFL means a lot to me because during my first semester of college (three years ago already) I had no friends whatsoever and felt entirely alone ( Read more... )
